CECS6020, Week 9

We chose situated learning as the model for our instructional design project. As the topic of our course is mobile learning for educators, we felt that the best approach was to have the learners participate in designing their own instruction around mobile technology. This is, in itself, situated learning. We decided to create our course prototype as a shell on Schoology. We had five weeks of instruction and three weeks of project, or lesson, development. The five weeks of instruction included: history of mobile learning, and applications in K-12, higher ed, corporate, and non profit. We divided the work (prototype and paper) evenly between all of us. Our timeline for completion will be the due date of the project.
