CECS6020, Week 11

Our instructional design project has gone very smoothly, so far. I think because we began with a strong mission. We decided to divvy the five weeks of instruction amongst our own specialties. While none of us have experience in non-profit education, we have an idea of what to include. After presenting our initial design document, we received some very constructive criticism. Mostly that we need to ground our instruction in theory. We are building the foundation of our course on: situated learning, constructivism, and cognitivist theories. Also, we are referencing parallel theories, such as transactional distance and activity theory.
